I feel for families who have endured the harsh winter this year. I really do.
But I live in Mississippi and we're not supposed to have snow ~ we're supposed to see it on the 5:00 news ~ not! It's snowing as I write this and we've accumulated about 7 inches of snow. SEVEN! AND IT'S STILL SNOWING!! The schools are out, the streets are strangled with traffic or traffic accidents. The 5:00 news preempted OPRAH at 4:00! My over use of exclamation points gives you an idea as to how I feel about our massive by Mississippi standard snow storm.
Last year due to a rock slide in North Carolina, I was detoured 85 miles which caused me to traverse the Great Smokey Mountains during a blinding snow storm. I live in a community without mountains and the traffic in any direction is gridlock. And OPRAH was preempted?
I grew up during a time when we never missed school ~ it didn't matter how much snow was on the ground. Television hadn't invented preempting yet!
As much as I love him, my husband came home early. I completely lost three hours of MY business day. After two hours of hearing a sports talk show ~ OPRAH was preempted!
It's supposed to snow for at least five more hours and judging by the temperature and the size of the flakes, we'll end up with 10 inches. And I don't own a DVR!

ReplyDeleteSnow is beautiful when it first falls and melts away the next day. I like that kind of snow, but unfortunately, I live in Montreal where we have heaps of it and it turns to ice and our winters last until April. I'm sure the 10 inches of snow will melt away!
By the way, great job on the Etsy Blogger team :)
