Easy Mosaic Art Three

In my last two blogs I discussed the many things you can use as a base for mosaic art. To reiterate, any surface that can be sealed (with paint or clear sealant) and can stand moisture (from the grout) can be used. Since most of us are crafters, you probably have something laying around your house just begging to be restored with a mosaic design. An old table, a long unused platter or just about anything that you want to change. Buy some tiles and try it yourself you will be amazed just how easy it is. My Crememagnolia Etsy Store is full of tiles that are begging for a new home and project.

To demonstrate some of the ways mosaic art can be created, I've chosen several items from Etsy that I feel will help get those creative juices going! Enjoy the Treasury!

  1. I just love the mosaics. I never would have thought of applying mosaic to some of the things you've done! The guitar is awesome.

  2. I love the look of mosaic! So much texture and detail! Great treasury :)

  3. Hi! I am a new member of the etsy blog team.

I was keeping all of broken dishes to turn into a mosaic project for the longest time, but after our recent move the box was added to the junk pile. I already regret it. Mosaic art has always intrigued me.

  4. Beautiful projects that you have highlighted! This post prompted me to read the tutorial...some years ago my husband bought some wood tissue boxes at a craft store, thinking that he would stain them and give them to people as gifts. This would be so much prettier!

  5. Fabulous treasury. I really love Pearl.

  6. Absolutely beautiful! I love the silver tray - what a lovely idea! I've always wanted to try mosaics - this is spurring me on!

  7. That surfboard is awesome! It would make a really cool accent piece for home decor!

  8. Thank you all for your comments, seriously, making mosaics is a craft anyone can master.
